You guys! Can you believe it’s almost a new year? 2009 has more or less come and gone,

cupcakes, champagne, and sparking cider this Saturday!
I know, I know, it’s cold outside! But if you can get yourself out of the house this weekend, put on some layers and come to LOCAL LOVE this Saturday, December 12th from 6-9pm sponsored by the merchants of the 40th Street Corridor!

This event is all about celebrating local art, local goods, & local community with simultaneous holiday parties at 1-2-3-4 Go! Records, ISSUES, Manifesto Bicycles, Mercy Vintage Now, Premium Tattoo & Vintage, Rowan Morrison Gallery, & Subrosa Coffee!
Your first stop should be the amazing Issues celebration, where you can refresh yourself with champagne and sparkling cider. Ashley and I will be there hanging out and selling a selection of our mini cupcakes. As long as your there, remember to check out the adorable locally made bags, wallets, and jewelry of Oakland’s own Pollyanna Cowgirl.
And yes, Issues is the very same shop that’s making the upcoming East Bay Vegan Bakesale possible by sponsoring and hosting the event. Check out our post about the Issues anniversary party earlier this year!
Keep checking back, really soon we are going to announce the beneficiaries of the EB Vegan Bakesale!
Big News! The very first East Bay Vegan Bakesale is coming!
As you may recall, we had some big news to announce at last weekend’s SF Vegan Bakesale (which, incidentally, made $4200–HOLY SHIT–for the bunnies and the Food Empowerment project!!!).
Ahem.
Anyway, those of you who were there may have gotten a flyer. Those of you who follow us on Twitter or read Vegansaurus (surely that must be just about everyone, right?) may have already heard the news. But for the rest of you…
Get ready for the very first East Bay Vegan Bakesale!
Stay tuned for more details (and maybe even a less punk flyer), and be sure to get in touch if you want to bake for it or volunteer to help out! We’ve already got a great cast of folks who’ve promised to be there, just in the last few days.
Plus, it’s in front of our friends’ magazine shop Issues! How fun will that be?
