Well it’s been a little while (ok, quite awhile) since we posted, but we’re very excited to announce our next event– the April Fools’ Day Pop-up at Oakland’s Commonwealth Cafe & Public House with our friends Hella Vegan Eats!

We’ll have 2 (or 3?!) different festive flavors, including vegan “funfetti” and mystery surprise! Hella Vegan Eats will have a variety of delicious offerings, as always, and of course the Commonwealth will be providing everyone with beer, wine and coffee.

We hope to see you there, and promise to be better about updating you all on our goings-on! We’ve got a few other events in the near future that we’re really looking forward to, so check back soon for details.

Cupcakes are $30 for 1 dozen, or $18 for a half dozen.

Orders will be available for pickup at our Oakland location between 10am and 3pm on Valentine’s day, or from 5-7pm the day before, (2/13). Let us know what time of day you prefer and we’ll be happy to set up a pickup time for you.

Orders for delivery will go out on Valentine’s Day between 12 noon and 6pm. Please provide a contact number for the recipient, and let us know if we can leave the cupcakes for them if they are not available when we deliver. Cupcakes can be delivered within Oakland and Berkeley.

Your order must be received by the end of the day on Sunday, 2/10. To order, please email us at fatbottombakers@gmail.com, and tell us what you’d like to order, whether you’d like delivery or pickup (and if pickup, time you prefer).

Thanks for another great year– we can’t believe it’s almost over!

We had a good time on Friday filling our delivery bike full of cupcakes and taking it out for a spin to the last Art Murmur of the year. It was dark, so, uh, the pictures are kind of dark too, but look how tasty those cupcakes are, and how snugly they were tucked into the sliding drawers of the bike trailer!

So long for now, Art Murmur! We’ll see you next year.

In the meantime, as the days get shorter and the weather gets gloomier, why not hit up new local tea shop and cafe Tea Here Now for a warm drink and some cookies or scones? Just a reminder. Sure, we may be a little biased, but we really think Tea Here Now is the best! Go check it out, and tell us what your favorite tea-and-treat-combo is.
